John Wylie is Principal and founder of diversified alternative asset investment firm Tanarra, which invests in global and local venture capital, private equity, private credit and PE-style strategies in listed companies.  In previous roles, John was former CEO of Credit Suisse First Boston Australia, co-founder of advisory and investment firm Carnegie, Wylie & Company, and CEO of Lazard Australia. 

John is former President of the State Library Victoria, Chair of the Australian Sports Commission and Chair of the Melbourne Cricket Ground Trust. He is a Trustee Emeritus of the Rhodes Trust at Oxford University, having previously served as a Trustee of the scholarship program.

John and his wife Myriam are active in philanthropy through their foundation which invests in a wide range of programs in education, indigenous programs, social support, sport and well-being, and various community interests. They also fund a pro and low bono strategic and financial advisory service for charities called Tanarra Social Purpose.
